Conceptual Framework for the Adoption of Innovative Health Technologies In Response to Health Emergencies

Introduction: Rapid developments in healthcare technology can significantly improve the quality, availability, and immediacy of care health emergency events; however, without a cohesive framework to conceptualize interplay between emerging technologies, we risk creating silos, ignoring applications, reducing interoperability innovations. Method: This was developed after reviewing current literature regarding new technologies assessment delivery, discussing relevant innovations with experts, analyzing global market trends capabilities. Results: Innovative deployed disaster settings be grouped by their relevance (1) Disease Injury Surveillance Detection, (2) Population Protection, (3) Responder (4) Management. The first category encompasses that help characterize severity scope an event at its onset, utilizing network wearable devices, sensors, remote infectious disease sampling, other tools. Once incident occurs, aimed Protection are necessary preserve well-being unaffected citizens. Scaled-up on-demand manufacturing for prophylactic medical countermeasures needle-free delivery mechanisms pre-treatments against CBRN threats will paramount. Healthcare responders require additional support before during response, especially just-in-time training through virtual augmented reality, biometric monitoring, next-generation personal protective equipment, enhanced communications Finally, delivering patients emergencies optimized allocation scarce resources based upon acuity survivability.
